A series of “China Tourism Day” activities to be held in Zhejiang

On the occasion of the approaching 14th “China Tourism Day”, the Department of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism of Zhejiang Province held a press conference to introduce a series of activities for the 2024 “May 19 China Tourism Day” on May 6.

The relevant person in charge from the Department of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism of Zhejiang Province introduced that in accordance with the requirements of the notification issued by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, a series of activities will be carried out in the form of “theme months, theme weeks and theme days” in Zhejiang, with the theme of “Travel in China, Poetic and Picturesque Zhejiang and Happy Life”, to actively promote civilized tourism, promote the in-depth integration of culture and tourism, stimulate the consumption potential of the tourism market, and promote high-quality development of the tourism industry.

On the “May 19 China Tourism Day” theme day, a branch event and launching ceremony in Ninghai, Zhejiang will be held, and supporting activities will be carried out from May 19 to 21. During the theme week from May 13 to 18, cultural and tourism special activities will be carried out in Kaihua County, Tongxiang City, Yuhuan City, Shangcheng District of Hangzhou City, Yiwu City, Putuo District of Zhoushan City, etc., in the form of sequenced countdown activities with the theme of “food, accommodation, transportation, travel, shopping and entertainment”. The entire month of May is the theme month of “May 19 China Tourism Day”. The Department of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism of Zhejiang Province will link up with the cultural and tourism departments of 11 prefecture cities to launch a series of cultural and tourism activities. Up to now, more than 670 activities of various types have been planned across the province. Various regions in the province will also launch measures to benefit the people, such as issuing cultural tourism consumption coupons; various financial institutions will carry out activities to promote cultural tourism consumption.
