On the 23rd, the "Intellectual Property Procuratorate e-Station" was officially launched jointly by the Provincial Procuratorate and the Provincial Administration for Market Regulation (Intellectual Property Office). In the future, the parties and the public involved in intellectual property cases can handle online at one stop such matters as initiating civil litigation attached to criminal proceedings, applying for compliance of enterprises involved, applying for mediation before criminal cases, and applying for legal supervision on intellectual property rights.

"All along, in the protection of intellectual property rights, there have been problems such as difficulty in obtaining evidence, difficulty in safeguarding rights and long cycles. The establishment of the platform is aimed at promoting the comprehensive judicial protection of intellectual property rights," said Wang Xiafang, Director of the Fourth Procuratorial Department of the Provincial Procuratorate. The platform will give full play to the advantages of coordination and integration of procuratorial departments in performing their duties, so as to realize the smooth circulation and feedback of matters handled between departments or superiors and subordinates.

It is learned that the platform will be launched in “Zheliban” as an independent module, with the functions of initiating civil litigation attached to criminal proceedings, applying for compliance of enterprises involved in cases, applying for legal supervision on intellectual property rights, and information release. Users can get access to all intellectual property procuratorial services on a single interface. The system also has decision-making capabilities. On the basis of automatically capturing and integrating more than 30 key procuratorial data indicators involving criminal, civil, administrative and public interest litigation, the system can conduct comparative analysis and trend analysis of historical data, regional data and type data, so as to provide reference for the overall decision-making on intellectual property procuratorial protection.
