On April 16, the provincial “sound development of non-public economy and entrepreneurs in non-public economy” work meeting was held in Hangzhou.

The private economy is the most striking feature and the biggest advantage of Zhejiang’s economy. In recent years, Zhejiang has been taking “the sound development of non-public economy and entrepreneurs in non-public economy” as an effective measure to actively explore the optimization of the development environment of private enterprises, greatly boosting the confidence of enterprises in development and facilitating the private economy entering the “fast lane” of high-quality development. The reporter learned at the meeting that in 2024 Zhejiang will focus on “Zhejiang businessmen creating wealth, Zhejiang businessmen growing, intimate and clean government-business relations, and Zhejiang businessmen facilitating getting rich” to create pioneering zones for “the sound development of non-public economy and entrepreneurs in non-public economy” across the province.

Specifically, Zhejiang will focus on new quality productivity, digital transformation, green development, open development and enterprise competitiveness to promote the high-quality development of the private economy; Zhejiang will further promote the building of teams of high-level innovative entrepreneurs, and actively create a good environment for the healthy growth of private entrepreneurs; Zhejiang will make efforts to optimize intimate and clean government-business relations to vigorously promote the quality improvement and expansion of clean private enterprises and safeguard the property rights of private enterprises and the rights and interests of private entrepreneurs in accordance with the law.

The high-quality development of the private economy can not do without a creative and open team of private entrepreneurs. At the meeting, Program for Implementing the “Eagle” Action of Zhejiang Businessmen Setting Off Again (2024-2027) (hereafter the “Program”) was announced. The Program proposes to fully implement the Regulations on Promoting the Development of Private Enterprises in Zhejiang Province and Regulations on Optimizing the Business Environment in Zhejiang Province, to continue to promote the “establishment, revision, abolition and interpretation” of laws, regulations and systems for business environment, step up the action for heart-warming, intimate, clean, and direct government-business relations, establish a multi-sectoral coordinated mechanism for discovering a new generation of entrepreneurs, and continuously optimize the structure of teams.

In the next step, the province will be based on a new starting point to give full play to new advantages, focus on the forging of unity and the cultivation of spirit, so as to lead Zhejiang businessmen to faithfully practice the principle of “always following the party”; the province will focus on education and cultivation to make every effort to promote the “eagles” of Zhejiang businessmen to set off again; the province will focus on enterprises to accelerate the cultivation and development of new quality productivity; the province will focus on compliance with laws and regulations first to build a new type of intimate, clean and unified government-business relations, to further implement the key tasks of work related to “the sound development of non-public economy and entrepreneurs in non-public economy” and make greater contribution to becoming a pioneer and writing a new chapter.
