From 0 o¡¯clock on June 1st, 2008 to 24 o¡¯clock on June 30th, 2008, all the 90 counties (including cities and regions) around the province have reported infectious disease cases, with altogether 19 types of legal infectious diseases of both Category I and Category II. There are 12 death cases among the 16,777 cases reported. There are no reported cases of plague, human infected with high pathogenic bird flu, SARS, poliomyelitis, dengue fever, anthrax, diphtheria, and billosus nostras typhus.
The top five diseases with the most reported cases in June 2008 include: TB, syphilis, hepatitis B, gonorrhea, bacillary and amebic dysentery, which takes up to 86.55% of the cases in total. The reported death cases include: AIDS (5 cases), TB (4 cases), newborn tetanus (2 cases), and rabies (1 case).
