From 0£º00 of November 1st to 24:00 of November 30th, 2007, there were reports of 16 Type A and Type B epidemics from all the 90 counties (cities, districts) across Zhejiang Province. The epidemic cases totaled 14318, 21 of which were reported to have died. There were no reports on bubonic plague, cholera, human infection highly pathogenic avian influenza, SARS, poliomyelitis, epidemic encephalitis B, dengue fever, anthrax, epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis, diphtheria or brucellosis.
In November, 2007, the 5 epidemics with the highest incidences were tuberculosis, hepatitis B, syphilis, gonorrhea, and bacillary and amoebic dysentery£¬accounting for 89.50 percent of the total number of incidences. The numbers of deaths resulting from the diseases are rated as follows: tuberculosis (9 cases), rabies (7 cases), newborn baby tetanus (2 cases), hepatitis B (1 case) and epidemic hemorrhagic fever (1 case).
