A. April Statistics
The total provincial revenue from the operation of radio and television broadcasting industry totaled 548 million RMB in April, an increase of 4.15% over the same period last year. Of this number, the provincial sector accounted for 136 million, down by 0.66%; the city sector 225 million, down by 0.17%; the county 178 million, up by 9.24%; and independent film and TV companies 9 million.
The total provincial revenue from radio and TV advertisements was 292 million RMB in April, a year-on-year decrease of 2.8%. The provincial sector reported an increase of 0.88%, the city sector an increase of 3.26%, and the county sector a decrease of 24.97%. The total provincial revenue from cable TV was 134 million, down by 2.1%, and other kinds of revenues from radio and TV totaled 122 million (including revenue from independent film and TV companies), up by 37.26%.
B. Jan.-Apr. Statistics
The total provincial revenue from the operation of radio and television broadcasting industry totaled 2.074 billion RMB from January through April, an increase of 4.32% over the same period last year. Of this number, the provincial sector accounted for 561 million, up by 7.73%; the city sector 813 million, up by 0.49%; the county 661 million, up by 9.11%; and independent film and TV companies 39 million.
The total provincial revenue from radio and TV advertisements was 1.154 billion RMB from January through April, a year-on-year increase of 1.77%. Of this number, the provincial sector earned 484 million, an increase of 9.3%, the city sector 497 million, up by 4.1%, and the county sector pocketed 173 million, down by 18.66%. The total provincial revenue from cable TV was 474 million, a year-on-year increase of 7.3%, and other kinds of revenues from radio and TV totaled 445 million (including revenue from network multi-function development and independent film and TV companies), an increase of 8.17%. |
