The General office of Zhejiang Provincial Government deals with the routine
secretarial and administrative work. Under the leadership of the General
Secretary of the Provincial Government, it copes with government affairs,
provides assistance as well as services for the government leaders, government
offices and primary organizations.
The major duties of the General Office of Zhejiang Provincial Government are:
1. ,To organize investigation and study, report in time the latest
information, and put forward suggestions, according to the work focus of the
Provincial Government and the requirements of the government leaders.
2. To handle the daily documents and telegrams of the Provincial Government
and the General Office; to draft documents for the Provincial Government and the
General Office.
3. To be responsible for making arrangements for the meetings called by the
Provincial Government, and to assist the government leaders in organizing
the implementation the decisions made at the conferences.
4.To be responsible for the organization of important activities of the
Provincial Government and work out the schedule of important internal and
external affairs of the government leaders.
5.To be responsible for the implementation of the suggestions put forward by
the deputies of the Provincial Congress and the motions made by the Provincial
Political Consultative Conference as well as its supervision work; to deal with
the problems raised by the general public through mails or visits..
6. To organize relevant coordination work according to the instructions of
the provincial government leaders and the needs of documents-processing
7. To manage and guide the information work of government affairs at all
levels of the whole province and the construction of office automation for the
administrative system.
8. To supervise and urge all departments under the Provincial Government and
the Municipal or County Governments to implement the important documents from
the State Council and the Provincial Government, the decisions made on the
Provincial Government meetings, and the important instructions by the government
leaders; To feedback relevant information in time, and put forward suggestions.
9. To be responsible for the on-duty arrangement of the Provincial
Government; to report the important situations to the government leaders and to
assist in handling the emergencies or important events which should be directly
dealt with by the Provincial Government, and tackle the important problems
reported by various departments under the Provincial Government and the local
governments
10. To be responsible for news release on government affairs on behalf of the
Provincial Government.
11. To provide vocational guidance for government offices of the whole
province
12. To administer and direct the work of the following subordinate units:
Government Offices Administration Bureau, Counselors¡¯Office of the Provincial
Government, Provincial Research Institute of Culture and History, Provincial
Government Agencies Stationed in Other Provinces and Municipalities, Legislative
Affairs Office of the Provincial Government and the Management Office of Fight
Smuggling and Coast Defense Port of the Provincial government.
13. To undertake other tasks assigned by the Provincial Government.
