Chen Derong, male, Han nationality, was born in March, 1961, in Fuyang, Zhejiang Province. He began his professional career in July, 1985 and joined the Communist Party of China in March, 1992. He graduated as a postgraduate from the Department of Metallurgy in Wuhan Institute of Iron and Steel, majoring in steel metallurgy and is a senior engineer.
He served successively as assistant to the Director of the Office of Technology Development of Hangzhou Iron and Steel Factory (Hangzhou Iron & Steel Group Company), Deputy Director of the Office of Technology Development of Hangzhou Iron and Steel Factory, Deputy Director and Director of the Converter Steelmaking Factory, Vice General-manager of Hangzhou Iron & Steel Group Company (Zhejiang Metallurgy Group), Deputy Mayor of Jiaxing Municipal Government, member of the standing committee of CPC Jiaxing Municipal Committee and executive Deputy Mayor of Jiaxing Municipal Government, Deputy Secretary of CPC Jiaxing Municipal Committee, Mayor of Jiaxing Municipal Government and Secretary of CPC Jiaxing Municipal Committee, and Secretary of CPC Wenzhou Municipal Committee. He was made Vice Governor of Zhejiang Province in July, 2010 and he also holds a current post as Secretary of CPC Wenzhou Municipal Committee.
He oversees the work of CPC Wenzhou Municipal Party Committee. |
