Ge Huijun was born in March 1963, in Zhuji, Zhejiang Province. She joined the Communist Party of China in May 1982 and began her professional career in August, 1983. A postgraduate from the Central Party School, she has served successively as deputy secretary and secretary of Communist Youth League of Zhuji, deputy party secretary of Huangshan District, Zhuji, secretary and head of the leading Party member¡¯s group of Communist Youth League of Shaoxing, vice mayor of Shaoxing, deputy party secretary of Zhuji, director of preparatory office of Ruoyexi Project, Shaoxing, director of administrative committee and head of the leading Party member¡¯s group of Zhejiang Kuaijishan Tourist Holiday Resort, deputy secretary and member of the leading Party member¡¯s group of Communist Youth League of Zhejiang, secretary and head of the leading Party member¡¯s group of Communist Youth League of Zhejiang, deputy party secretary and director of the disciplinary inspection commission of Ningbo, deputy party secretary, acting mayor and mayor of Jinhua, and member of the standing committee of Zhejaing Provincial Party Committee. Ge was made vice governor of Zhejiang Province in July, 2007.
