It was learned from Zhejiang Provincial Development and Reform Commission that the Suggestions on Shanghai-Hangzhou Maglev Project was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in 2006. According to national unified deployment and requirement, the departments concerned are doing further research. Since this project is still at the stage of feasibility research, there is no schedule of construction.

The present focus of railway construction in our province is on ˇ°seven lines and two transit networksˇ± including Shanghai-Hangzhou Passenger Line. The project of Shanghai-Hangzhou Passenger Line is being accelerated. The construction within Zhejiang Province has fulfilled the investment of 10 billion RMB in 2009. This year, an investment of 5 billion RMB will be arranged. The works under construction is of good quality.
