It was learned from the Survey Office of the National Bureau of Statistics in Zhejiang that the general level of consumer price in Zhejiang increased 3.3% in February compared with the same period last year. The prices of eight consumer goods categories and service items both rose.

According to the statistics, the prices of transportation and communications in Zhejiang stopped falling in February. Instead they rose 0.9% compared with the same period last year, the first rise after 2007. The price of food rose 5.5% compared with the same period last year, which was the greatest price increase since November 2008. What¡¯s more, the prices of 12 among 16 kinds of food rose. The prices of service items increased 2.6% compared with the same period last year. This was also the first rise after 2-year continued price falling since March 2008.
