Zhejiang insurance industry made a new breakthrough with its increases in the revenue of property insurance and life insurance even amid hard times when it encountered lots of unexpected difficulties influenced by the global financial crisis in 2009. 

The total premium income of the year 2009 achieved 53.81 billion yuan, ranking 9th in the whole country, a year-on-year growth of 10%, even under the unfavorable circumstance of the negative growth of premium income in the first 3 months.
