The working conference of Zhejiang Land and Resources held on February 4 in Hangzhou required that construction land should be guaranteed for major project construction, marine economy, modern service industry and advanced manufacturing industry while arable land is strictly protected to actively promote stable and quicker growth of economy in the whole province and quicken the adjustment, transformation and upgrading of economic structure.

In the past year, the provincial land and resources system carried out the tasks of ˇ°Ensure Economic Growth, Protect Arable Landˇ± and ˇ°Serve Enterprises, Serve Basic Unitsˇ±. The newly added arable land reached 239600 mu, realizing a balance between occupation and supplement for 14 successive years.
