Herra, the principal in charge of preparatory work for Poland Euro 2012 Championship, said recently that Chinese building companies were expected to help their country build the stadiums and supporting facilities on demand for Euro 2012 Championship. Ukraine, the other host of the event, has planned for large-scale infrastructure construction including roads and airports as well as stadium building and reconstruction, etc. and they are going to carry out the international tender & bid for the projects. Having undertaken nearly half of the Beijing Olympic sites, Zhejiang steel structure enterprises are on their way to share the big event.

The strong power of stepping out has promoted the rapid development of Zhejiang steel structure enterprises in the recent two years. In 2006, a total of 75 construction projects were awarded China Steel Structure Gold Medals across the country, among which, 26 projects were undertaken by Zhejiang steel structure enterprises, accounting for 34.5%. And in the recently announced Top 20 Enterprises in the Construction Steel Structure Industry, Zhejiang steel structure enterprises have taken up 30%. Moreover, Hangxiao Steel Structure, Southeast Space Frame and Jinggong Steel Structure are the only three steel structure enterprises among the listed companies in Shanghai Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange in China.

Among the 12 newly-built Olympic stadiums in Beijing, Zhejiang steel structure enterprises directly participated in and undertook the construction of 5 stadiums. In which, Southeast Space Frame undertook three projects including the Water Cube-National Aquatic Center, the Badminton Stadium and the Shooting Range Hall; Jinggong Steel Structure participated in the construction of the Bird¡¯s Nest. The comprehensive strength and core competence of Zhejiang steel structure enterprises have ranked the top in China.
