Hu Pan Ju Teahouse (Lakeside Teahouse) is a well-known platform in Hangzhou for soliciting business and attracting investment.

Wang Guoping, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of Hangzhou Municipal Party committee, said yesterday at the mobilizing meeting of fostering ten industries with special features and potentials that it was right at Hu Pan Ju Teahouse that contracts of the TOSHIBA Laptop Program, Motorola China Research Institute Program and Motorola Set-Top Box Program were negotiated and concluded before they were introduced to Hangzhou.

Hangzhou aims to develop ten industries with special features and potentials. Besides teahouse industry, the other nine are cuisine, performance, resort sanatorium, health care, cosmetics, women¡¯s clothing, kids¡¯ products, sports and recreation, as well as arts and crafts.

At the meeting yesterday, ¡°Outline of Developing Ten Industries with Special Features and Potentials (2007-2020)¡± was issued. Its major contents will be gradually unveiled to the public from tomorrow on.
