The provincial GDP in the first half year now reaches 988.9 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 11.4%. The increase ratio is 3.3% lower than in the same period last year. CPI rises by 7.4% year-on-year, with the increase ratio 0.5% lower than the average level of the whole nation.

The news office of the provincial government held today a news release conference on the provincial economy in the first half year, where the provincial Statistics Bureau and the Zhejiang Branch of the National Bureau of Statistics issued the above statistic data. It was also learnt that the economy in the first half year in Zhejiang was generally stable, and was approaching the general goals of macroeconomic control and developmental mode change.

With regard to the three major industries, the increase volumes of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries are 44.03 billion yuan, 52.92 billion yuan, and 41.57 billion yuan, respectively, with the year-on-year increase ratio of 1.3%. 11.5%, and 12.3%, respectively.
