The Olympic Security Movement ¡°Assault No.1¡± in Zhejiang Province ended at 8 o¡¯clock this morning. The public security units in the province have mobilized altogether 100,000 people, and checked over 3100 public places of potential security problems. This movement is fairly effective in striking the criminal acts, and helps to cleanse the public environment.

During the movement, altogether over 1500 criminal suspects have been arrested around the province, over 1700 criminal cases have been resolved, and over 2500 public security cases have been handled. Besides, 57 criminal retreats have been uprooted, and over 2200 potential problems in transportation and firefighting have also been eliminated.
