Wuyi County in Jinhua is well known for its Xuan Lotus Seed. Farmers in Liucheng, a town of She nationality people in Wuyi have kept a hundreds-year-long tradition of planting lotus seeds. In the summer, the vast stretches of lotus field become a tourist attraction.

In recent years, Liucheng, She Town continues to develop its local ancient culture of lotus, and built the ¡°Ten Miles of Lotus¡± ¨C an agricultural and technological sightseeing garden. So far, 352 varieties of lotus have been introduced to the garden, making it a technological garden with the largest lotus varieties in the Yangtze Delta. What is more, the once four-month blooming season of Xuan Lotus is also changed to last as long as 8 months, which allows people to enjoy the bloom even in the deep fall in November.
