At 9:40 am of Sept. 27, escorted by the law enforcement staff and athletes of the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games from home and abroad, the Flame of Hope, which symbolizes  the World Special Olympics, ignited the torch at Three Pools Mirroring the Moon, a famous scenic spot in the West Lake, Hangzhou. The 2007 Torch Run was held then. Delegates from the Canadian Special Olympic Games delegation, who came to visit Hangzhou with the Special Olympics torch, joined the torch run. The delegation will stay in Hangzhou for a 4-day visit.
