Zhejiang A/H1N1 Flu Death Toll Reaches 43

According to the news released by the Provincial Department of Health, Zhejiang reported 316 newly confirmed cases of A/H1N1 flu, 109 cases under hospital care, and 5 deaths last week (from January 4 to 10). Up to 24:00, Jan. 12, Zhejiang had reported 13,052 confirmed cases of A/H1N1 flu, among which 12,414 had been cured. 910 severe cases had been reported, and 736 cases had been cured. A/H1N1 flu has caused 43 deaths in Zhejiang.

According to the notification, among the reported deaths, 62.79 percent are patients with basic diseases, 2.33 percent are obesity sufferers and 4.65 percent are pregnant and parturient women. Up to Jan. 12, a total of 2,273,819 people in Zhejiang Province had had A/H1N1influenza vaccine shots and 68.34 percent of the vaccination plan had been completed.
