Two Severe Cases of A/H1N1 Flu Confirmed in Zhejiang

The Zhejiang Provincial Department of Health reported on Oct. 20 two severe cases of A/H1N1 flu in Zhejiang, one case from Hangzhou confirmed on Oct. 18 and another from Ningbo confirmed on Oct. 19. The Hangzhou patient is a 20-year-old male student and the Ningbo patient is a 60-year-old male business owner. The health departments are organizing all-out treatment for the two patients, and the Hangzhou patient has already shown a sign of recovery.

The concentrated outbreak of A/H1N1 flu in some schools and universities after the National Day Holiday has been promptly handled and controlled. By 15:00 p.m. Oct. 20, the reported A/H1N1 flu cases in Zhejiang have amounted to 2490, with 28 patients presently treated in hospital and 251 treated at home.
