Five Cases of Influenza A(H1N1) Newly Confirmed in Zhejiang Province

Zhejiang Provincial Health Bureau notified that there were five newly confirmed cases of imported Influenza A(H1N1) in our province٬two in Wenzhou, and one in Taizhou, Ningbo and Hangzhou respectively. Up to July 20, the confirmed cases of A(H1N1) in our province added up to 110. At the moment, 31 are still hospitalized, and 122 are under clinical observation.

Of the five new cases, four are females and one male. Four are from mainland China, and one from Hong Kong, China. The five patients began to have the symptoms of fever and cough from July 17 and 18, and were confirmed positive for A(H1N1) influenza by laboratory tests. Now the confirmed patients have been transferred to the designated local hospitals and are being treated in isolation. Their health conditions are stable. The health departments concerned have kept track of those who had close contact with the confirmed patients and asked them to stay at home for clinical observation.
