From November 13 to 14, Zhejiang provincial government delegation, headed by Lv Zushan, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Governor of Zhejiang Province, inspected the aid projects in Qingchuan.
To solve the most direct and urgent practical problems that people in the quake-stricken areas are most concerned about, a great number of livelihood projects in which Zhejiang Province assisted have been put to use or are undergoing accelerated construction. Zhejiang has invested 0.3 billion yuan in ensuring that all urban and rural residents in Qingchuan will be provided with secure drinking water by the end of this year, and 0.47 billion yuan in reconstructing 142 inter-village highways, totaling 580 kilometers, as well as 61 bridges. So far, 39 schools and 33 health centers have been completed and put into use. Of the 18 provinces and municipalities that assist in the reconstruction of the disaster-stricken areas, Zhejiang is ranked first in the number of completed aid projects in the same category.
