From August 30th to September 1st, Zhou Guofu, Chairman of Zhejiang Provincial CPPCC, inspected the construction projects aided by Zhejiang Province in Qingchuan, Sichuan Province.

Escorted by Chen Jie, Vice Chairman of Sichuan Provincial CPPCC, Zhou Guofu went to Zhuyuan, Guanzhuang, Qiaozhuang and Qingxi, inspected construction projects of schools, the new countryside, the neighborhood of low-income families, the edible fungus production base, and Donghekou Earthquake Ruins Park, visited construction officials and workers, and attended the handing-over ceremony of Qingchuan primary and middle schools aided by Zhejiang Province, the unveiling ceremony of Zhuyuan Shuren Junior High School, and the foundation-laying ceremony of Qingchuan Rehabilitation Center for the Disabled. The latter two projects are both aided by Zhejiang Provincial CPPCC.

Since the major earthquake last year, CPPCC at all levels in our province has been heavily devoted to earthquake relief and post-disaster reconstruction by donating money and goods to the disaster-stricken areas. Incomplete statistics indicated that the donations amounted to nearly 500 million yuan.
